1. Acceptance
By downloading or using AutoCodex ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use the App.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on your Android device for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
3. Pro License
The AutoCodex Pro upgrade is a non-consumable one-time in-app purchase. Upon successful payment through Google Play, you receive a lifetime personal license to Pro features on the purchasing account. This license is non-transferable and does not expire.
Refunds are subject to Google Play's refund policy; we do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly. We reserve the right to add or modify Pro features over time. Features that are free today will remain free.
4. Your Data
All data you enter into AutoCodex is stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, App uninstallation, or any other cause.
The App includes an export feature allowing you to back up your data manually. We strongly recommend using this feature regularly, and keeping a copy somewhere other than the device itself.
You are also responsible for securing your device and preventing unauthorized access to your data. How your data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to extract, copy or misuse any part of the App's source code
- Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it
The App is a record-keeping tool. Do not rely on it while driving; enter your data when the vehicle is stationary.
6. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services: Sentry for crash reporting, Expo for over-the-air updates, OpenFreeMap for map tiles, OpenStreetMap Nominatim for geocoding, OSRM for route calculation, the European Commission's public Oil Bulletin for fuel prices, and Google Play for distribution and purchases.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of these services. Trip distance, duration, fuel cost and toll estimates are provided for informational purposes only and may differ from real-world conditions. Toll estimates cover Greek motorways only.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
AutoCodex is a personal tool for vehicle record keeping only. It is not a substitute for professional mechanical advice. The Vehicle Health Score is an indicative summary of the records you have entered, not a mechanical assessment. Always consult a qualified mechanic for vehicle maintenance decisions.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.
In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid for the App or any related services.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through an App update and by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the App.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you also keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.
